“For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45 NRSV)
Service activities offer opportunities to engage one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans: that every act of service, in every corner of life flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. We believe that God gave each of us unique skills and talents to help change the world around us. We connect our stories with Gods story by serving others.
Good Shepherd is active throughout the year in helping and serving our community through projects such as:
- Angel Tree
- Quilts for Lutheran World Relief
- School and health kits for Lutheran World Relief
- Serving monthly at the local soup kitchen
- Preparing and delivering zoom bags
- Bell ringing for the salvation army
