Worship Services

Worship is the primary gathering of God’s people. Through Word and Sacrament, God draws us together and prepares us to face life’s challenges with hope. The “Style” of our worship would best be described as traditional/blended. We use a piano and an organ, but we sometimes feature other musical instruments.

All are welcome to join us for worship at 10:00 am every Sunday morning. If you are unable to attend in person, please see below for recordings and the corresponding bulletins for each Sunday.

What to expect if you are new to Good Shepherd:

We know how difficult it can be visiting a place for the first time, so we want to make your first visit as comfortable as possible.

When you arrive for worship you will be greeted by a church member and will receive a bulletin of the service from an usher. From there you can find a place to sit in one of our pews. Our service begins with a  prelude to help us prepare ourselves for worship.

The bulletin will guide you through the worship service with notes about congregational responses, standing and sitting, singing hymns from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship book, and participation at Holy Communion. This information is also projected onto a screen at the front of the sanctuary.

Wear what you feel is comfortable and appropriate. We do not have a dress code and we certainly wouldn’t want you to worry about this. Some people prefer to dress up, while others prefer to dress down. We are more concerned about your heart and your needs than we are about your clothing.

Children of all ages are welcome in worship. Feel free to grab a children’s activity bag just outside of the sanctuary to help engage your little ones. We also offer children’s church for those age 3-8.

We celebrate the Eucharist each Sunday morning as an integral part of every worship service. Everyone is welcome at the Lord’s table. You do not have to be a member of this congregation, or Lutheran, in order to partake. An usher will come to your row and invite you to come to the front of the church, where you may either kneel or stand at the altar rail. The center cup of each tray is grape-juice (white) and the outer rings are wine (red). Communion bread is gluten free, dairy free, and nut free. Children who do not yet commune are welcome to come forward for a blessing. If coming to the altar rail is difficult for you, simply let an usher know if you would like communion brought to you at your seat.

After the service, please join us in the fellowship hall for coffee and conversation.

Our services are live streamed to our YouTube channel each week at 10am. Click here to watch or view past services.
